In a massive disclosure to the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB), actor Rakul Preet Singh claimed that the drugs recovered from his residence belong to Rhea Chakraborty. During his questioning with the NCB, the actress claimed that Rhea would be delivered the drugs at his residence, adding that the stash recovered from his home was not his, sources said.
Rakul has also accepted talks between her and Rhea about drugs, according to sources. When NCB officials showed him the chats, in which the duo were arguing about drugs and Rhea was seen asking for banned narcotics, Rakul accepted the authenticity of the chat.
NCB criticizes Rakul Preet Singh for false claims
Yesterday, the NCB raided the home of Rakul Preet Singh where the actor received a second subpoena from the agency. On Thursday, Rakul had not presented himself to the NCB office claiming he had not received a subpoena from the body. Breaking his claims, NCB officer KPS Malhotra called the actor and accused him of trying to “mislead” the agency with him “excuses.” The agency also threatened to serve him an arrest warrant without bail, if he keeps turning up with excuses.
“Her subpoena was issued and she was contacted through various platforms, including the phone where she was not available. So far there has been no response from her,” KPS Malhotra told Republic TV.
Shortly after this, Rakul Preet appeared, accepting that his invocation was true with her and that he would now join the investigation a day later, on Friday.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan arrived in Mumbai from Goa before the NCB summoned them. Both were there for different reasons and came to Mumbai separately with their respective families. Sara was accompanied by her mother Amrita and her brother Ibrahim, while Ranveer Singh emerged with Deepika Padukone. The call-up for Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor is scheduled for Saturday.
Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty is housed in the Byculla jail after her arrest by NCB and after that, being sent into judicial custody until October 6. She has been transferred to the Bombay High Court, and in her petition, Rhea claims innocence in the drug case because she has been arrested and has stated that “she has not committed any crime”. This comes after Rhea Chakraborty cracked before questioning by the NCB after previously stating that she had never used drugs and doubling down on her submission even before she allegedly admitted drug trafficking charges. Rakul Preet’s confession to NCB is unlikely to help her case.
