The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said Thursday that actor Rakul Preet Singh acknowledged the subpoena it sent him to join the agency’s investigation into an alleged Bollywood drug link. Republic Media Network confronted Rakul Preet on Thursday night as he was leaving Mumbai airport, but the actor remained silent and evaded questions.
Rakul Preet landed in Mumbai from Hyderabad on Thursday night. Hours earlier, the actress in her official statement said that “she has not received the alleged summons in either Mumbai or Hyderabad so far.” The NCB resented her subpoena, stating that Rakul Preet had “ tried to be wrong ” to buy time and said an Order of No Bail (NBW) would be received if she did not cooperate. Following this, Rakul Preet’s team confirmed that they had received the subpoena and said they would join the investigation on Friday, a day later than originally supposed.

Reports have circulated in recent days that Rhea Chakraborty allegedly named Sara and Rakul during their interrogation by the OCN. Rhea is speculated to have told the agency that the acting duo used drugs, as part of the names she has listed during the course of their questioning.

NCB SUMMONS DEEPIKA PADUKONE
The NCB summoned actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, among others, for questioning on Wednesday.
Deepika Padukone’s name came up in one of the WhatsApp chats where the actor allegedly asks a ‘K’ for ‘maal, hash’ who was later confirmed as his manager, Karishma Prakash. The chats accessed are from October 2017 and show Deepika asking for “maal” from ‘K’ who replies that she has it, but at home. Also, ‘K’ says that he can ask ‘Amit’ if he wants it, since “he carries it.” Deepika also clarifies that she needs “Hash” and not “marijuana” while the two discuss the logistics.
