CHENNAI: Tamiluravi Manian, who is the supervisor of Rajinikanth’s proposed party, said on Saturday that the actor would decide on alliance only after throwing the party. The clarification comes amid speculation about the BJP’s relentlessness to continue in the AIADMK-led alliance for the 2021 assembly elections after the actor Rajinikanth announced his decision to throw a party.
“Rajinikanth will make announcements about the party and its policies on December 31,” Manian said after a two-hour discussion with Rajinikanth at the latter’s residence in Poes Garden.
The proposed chief party coordinator, Ra Arun Murthy, also participated in the detailed discussion on various aspects. “The discussion focused on all aspects of the party, from the party flag to the establishment of its fundamental infrastructure,” Manian said.
When asked if Rajinikanth would compete in the Krishnagiri constituency, Manian said that everyone wanted him to compete in the 234 constituencies. But he would make a decision on whether to compete or not and where to do it. He expressed hope that people will support Rajinikanth in the same way that they supported MGR.
On the actor’s spiritual politics that was not heard in the state, which is ingrained and deeply ingrained in the Dravidian ideology of social reformer Periyar, Manian said: “Rajinikanth was not the first person to speak about spiritual politics. It was invented by Mahatma Gandhi. He is not against or in favor of any religion. It will be different from the politics of hate that prevails now, ”said Manian.
“There is no difference between secular and spiritual politics. Both are the same and fall in a single line, “he said while answering a question in DMK Leader A Raja’s statement that Rajinikanth’s spiritual policy was self-contradictory, as spirituality and religion were intertwined. However, he said that many were confused about spirituality and religion and disclosed his lack of understanding.
When asked about his old video in which he ridiculed Rajinikanth, Manian said that he had known (Rajinikanth) as an actor until recently. Therefore, he expressed his opinions in the past. But she had changed her perspective and opinion of him after meeting him and getting to know him better.
Manian said that Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam would merge with the Rajinikanth party once it was launched. “It’s quite natural for a political party and its leaders to say that there will be no impact,” Manian said in response to a question about the views of the DMK and the AIADMK that the political downfall of Rajinikanth would not affect them.
