Actor Rajinikanth was warned by the Madras High Court after he moved the court against the Chennai Greater Corporation tax claim of 6.50 lakhs as property tax for his Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam. It is located in Kodambakam, Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
The court warned you that costs will be imposed for going to court against the tax lawsuit. His lawyer has asked for time to withdraw his case, ANI reported.
Rajinikanth in his guilty plea said that the marriage hall has remained empty since March 24, 2020 when the coronavirus shutdown was announced. Therefore, no income was earned on the deal. The corporation had sent a property tax notice to the Tamil superstar semi-annually, from April to September, according to a Times Now report.
ANI tweeted about it and wrote: “Actor Rajinikanth moves Madras HC against Rs 6.5 Lakhs property tax lawsuit, by Greater Chennai Corporation, for his Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. On the labor front, Rajinikanth was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ Darbar, which turned out to be a flop at the box office. Writing about the film, the Hindustan Times review read: “AR Murugadoss’s Darbar, not the filmmaker’s best work in recent years, ticks all the boxes for a quintessential Rajinikanth film, but what it lacks It’s the kind of writing that Petta (Rajinikanth’s latest release) did, despite its flaws, a much more entertaining watch. Darbar takes the hysteria around Rajinikanth to a higher level as he introduces the actor as an angry cop Aaditya Arunasalam who is on a murderous rampage. Darbar is powered by Rajinikanth; if it weren’t for his unmatched screen presence and infectious energy, sitting down to watch the movie would be tedious. “
Rajinikanth will next be seen in Annaatthe, a film directed by Siva. The film will also star Nayathara, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, and Prakash Raj.
