New Delhi, December 15: There is a possibility that superstar Rajinikanth will use an already used but not recognized party as a political launch vehicle.
It is likely to use the Makkal Sevai Katchi party as a political launching vehicle for the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. The party was originally registered as Anaithindhia Makkal Shakthi Kazhagam, but the name was later changed to Makkal Sevai Katchi through an amended notice from the Election Commission that was issued two and a half months ago. The symbol of the party in all likelihood would be an automatic rickshaw.
A report in TOI said that the EC has received a request from Makkal Sevai Katchi seeking an assignment of a common voting symbol for the candidates. Also, the app mentions Rajinikanth’s name, even though it comes from a different person.

The report also said that the app lists the two-fingered pose the actor made famous in his 2002 film Baba as its first poll symbol. Second is the auto rickshaw symbol. It should be remembered that the car is reminiscent of its 1995 blockbuster Baashha. The automobile symbol may be allowed to the party, as the two-finger symbol resembles the hand symbol of the Indian National Congress.
