Rajinikanth admitted to Hyderabad hospital for severe blood pressure fluctuations


Hyderabad / Chennai: Actor and politician Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad on Friday for severe fluctuations in blood pressure and was “stable,” the hospital said. Noting that he is “stable and resting,” the hospital said the actor will remain here and undergo further investigation on Saturday.

Rajinikanth was filming for the Annathe movie at Film City in Hyderabad for 10 days, but had isolated himself after at least four people on sets tested positive for Covid-19. The 70-year-old actor had tested negative.

He is being treated for blood pressure for a long time. Kidneys are also being tested.”

The hospital statement said the actor’s condition was being closely monitored and blood pressure was being carefully adjusted. He will undergo further tests on Saturday.

Rajinikanth’s daughter treats him in the hospital. The family and doctors have asked their fans to give up visiting the hospital. Visits are not allowed.
