KOLKATA: Former Minister of West Bengal Rajib banerjee, who recently resigned from the TMC, will travel on Saturday with some other MLA members and disgruntled leaders to New Delhi, where they can join the BJP, Saffron party sources said.
Banerjee and MLAs Prabir Ghosal and Baishali Dalmiya, who was recently expelled from TMC, and former mayor of Howrah Rathin ChakrabortyHe will fly to the national capital in a special plane and meet with the central leaders of the BJP.
They are also likely to be accompanied by the former member of the TMC community from Ranaghat Paschim in Nadia district, Parthasarathi Chattopadhyay.
Banerjee said he had a word with the Union Interior Minister Amit Cha who called him to the national capital.
“After I resigned from the TMC, I got a call from the BJP leadership … Amit Shah ji told me to go to Delhi. If I get guarantees about the development of the state, I will join the party,” he said. a Bengali news channel.
