JAIPUR: Rajasthan IAS painting couple Tina Dabi and Athar Amir Khan has filed for divorce in family court in Jaipur. The first of the 2016 IAS series got married in Jaipur on March 20, 2018.
They filed for divorce by mutual consent at Family Court No. 1 in Jaipur, according to sources.
Khan, who hails from Kashmir, had ranked second in the 2015 UPSC civil service exam, while Tina Dabi had led the exam. Both were assigned a painting from Rajasthan. Tina also ranked first in order of merit during training and earned the president’s medal.
The two had become close during the training period and were recently assigned a post in Jaipur.
The breakdown in their marriage came to light after Tina removed ‘Khan’ from her last name on social media. Around the same time, Khan also unfollowed Tina on some social media platforms.
Tina and Khan’s marriage had made headlines after Hindu Mahasabha called it ‘love jihad’.
