An FIR has been registered against six people in the relevant sections, including section 376D (gangrape) of the IPC on the basis of the woman’s complaint, police said.
Police in the Alwar district of Rajasthan arrested three people and detained two minors for allegedly abusing a 45-year-old woman on September 14, authorities said on Saturday. One more defendant in the case continues to escape, they said.
According to the police, the incident occurred when the woman was returning with her nephew from a neighboring town after meeting an acquaintance.
Confirming the arrests and detentions, the ring officer investigating the case said: “The nephew had parked his motorcycle and they had gone to return the money to his acquaintance. When they returned, 5-6 people surrounded them. They misbehaved with her and assaulted both of them. One of the men raped her while the others helped him and abused her, ”said the officer of the circle investigating the case.
“The defendant then threatened the nephew and tried to get him to rape the victim and filmed a video of the two,” the officer said.
Police said the woman filed a complaint in the matter on September 17, after the defendant posted the video on social media.
The FIR has been registered in the relevant sections, including section 376D (gangrape) of the IPC.
