New Delhi:
Congressional Deputy Rahul Gandhi tweeted a request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi just before his scheduled speech to the nation on Tuesday, saying that he must inform the country of the date when he will “drive the Chinese out of Indian territory.” .
“Dear Prime Minister: In your 6 pm address, please tell the nation the date when you will remove the Chinese from the Indian Territory. Thank you,” he tweeted.
Dear PM,
At your address at 6:00 p.m. M., Please tell the nation the date when you will remove the Chinese from the Indian Territory.
Thank you.

Prime Minister Modi previously tweeted that he will address the nation at 6 p.m. Tuesday. “I will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 pm tonight,” Prime Minister Modi wrote in his tweet, urging citizens to tune in.
However, he did not specify the subject of his speech to the nation. This will be his seventh address since he announced a strict lockdown in March to control the spread of the coronavirus.
Many have speculated that he could speak out about the coronavirus situation in the country on the brink of a series of festivals and the approaching winter.
India and China have been locked in a showdown on the Royal Line of Control or ALC, the de facto border between the two countries, since May. Authorities say Chinese troops had tried to violate the LAC several times in recent months.
In June, 20 Indian soldiers had been killed in the line of duty in a clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh. Several Chinese troops had also died in the fight.
Last month, shots were fired into the air more than once when the two armies came face to face in Pangong Tso.
Several rounds of military and diplomatic talks between the two sides have yet to yield a solution, and the Chinese are refusing to adhere to agreements to restore the status quo. The eighth talk at the army level to resolve the confrontation is expected next week.
Gandhi has been attacking the central government for its handling of the India-China confrontation in LAC. Earlier this month, he said Prime Minister Modi “gave 1,200 square kilometers to China to save its image.”
“Modi Hee He said that no one has taken the land from India … but China has access to 1,200 square kilometers of our land. How did they take it? Even China knows … ‘the man at the top can give us this land to save his image,’ “Gandhi told reporters in Punjab.
