Congressional leader Rahul Gandhi mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for his suggestion that wind turbines can be used to generate clean drinking water, oxygen and power, prompting sharp reactions from BJP leaders who said you need to read scientific articles.
“The real danger for India is not that our prime minister doesn’t understand. It’s the fact that no one around him has the courage to tell him, ”he said on Twitter, while posting a video of the prime minister’s interaction with a CEO of a wind energy company.

The prime minister is heard suggesting that the CEO use wind turbines to produce not only energy, but oxygen and clean drinking water out of thin air.
In response to Gandhi, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said: “Nobody around Rahul Gandhi has the guts to tell him that he doesn’t understand. He mocks the ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the CEO of the world’s leading company endorses them. “

He also tagged a news report with his tweet saying that wind turbines create water out of thin air.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra also attacked Gandhi in a tweet, saying: “Rahul Ji tomorrow morning, please get up at night and read the two scientific papers that I am enclosing. Although I’m sure you won’t understand the complexity of the subject … “
He also attached news reports that say wind turbines create water from air and another that says wind turbines produce 1000 liters of clean water a day in the desert.
The head of BJP’s social media department, Amit Malviya, also attacked Gandhi.
“There is no cure for ignorance and rights. Titled brat Rahul thinks everyone around the world is just as clueless as he is … He scoffs at PM’s ideas when the CEO of the world’s leading wind energy company calls them inspiring! Look at the last part of the video that he himself has published… ”, he said in a tweet.
Gandhi has often attacked the prime minister for his comments and suggestions.
