NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, he said that the four phases of national security lock have “failed” and does not give you the results that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wait, urged the Centre to explain its strategy of “opening” of the country.

“What India is facing now is the result of a blocking error. It is quite clear that the four stages of security lock have not given the result that the Prime Minister expected,” he said.
Gandhi noted that India is the only country in the world that is the relaxation of the security lock when the virus is “exponentially growing”.
The former Congress, the chief said despite the fact that he is not an expert, but “we need to open with the planning and systematically, and not in an ad-hoc way.”
He said that the country’s economy needs to be restored, and that needs to be done by the infusion of money into the hands of the poor and of small and medium sized businesses.
“The central government you should infuse cash into the hands of the people and it’s going to be deadly in the event of not doing so”, he said.
A dangerous situation in the event that the financial support to the people and industry is not provided, it warned.
Gandhi also requested the financial support to the states, saying that it will be difficult for the states to the function of the help center.
Gandhi also called on the central government to be transparent about what is happening in Ladakh and Nepal.
“We would like the central government, to make it clear to people about what is happening on the border with China,” he said.
Asked about the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, where the Congress is a partner in the government, Gandhi said that there is a difference between the management of the government and support a government.
“We are supporting the Maharashtra government, but we are not in the key decision-making role in Maharashtra,” he said, adding that Maharashtra will require the full support of the central government, since the state is fighting a very difficult battle.
