Amid the #MeToo accusations against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actress Radhika Apte shared a heartfelt post for the director. Upon calling him, one of her closest friends, Radhika stated that she feels extremely safe in his presence. Taking to her Instagram account, Radhika shared a candid photo of herself with Kashyap along with a post calling him her ‘closest’ and ‘trusted’ friend.

You have always treated me as an equal and I appreciate the mutual love and respect we have for each other. I have always felt immensely safe in your presence since the day I met you. You have been and always will be my trusted friend. I love you

In addition to his friends and Bollywood counterparts, his first wife, Aarti Bajaj, also used his Instagram account to show solidarity with her ex-husband. Calling Anurag a “rock star”, he criticized the accusation as a “cheapest stunt”.
