Rabada goes windowless for the first time after 26 T20, still has Purple Cap; Rashid Khan jumps to third place


Delhi Capitals pacemaker Kagiso Rabada failed to secure a single spot against Sunrisers Hyderabad in match no. 47 of the 2020 Indian Premier League on Tuesday, but still held atop the Purple Cap tally.

Interestingly, the South African pacemaker remained windowless for the first time at IPL 2020 and at 26 Q20 overall. However, he still has the purple cap with 23 windows on his kitty.

Notably, in the same match, SRH spinner Rashid Khan posted his personal best IPL figures by finishing 3-for-7 in his four-overs spell. Additionally, the Afghan player is now third on the highest list of turf bearers with 17 terrains to his name.

Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab pacemaker Mohammed Shami secured three wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders in match no. 46 of the 2020 Indian Premier League to take second place on the Purple Cap tally.

Overall, the Indian pacemaker has bagged 20 wickets so far in IPL 2020.

Additionally, Rajasthan Royals sprinter Jofra Archer currently occupies fourth position on the Purple Cap chart. He has 17 wickets in his 12-game kitty and an impressive economy rate of 6.71.

Fifth on the list is Mumbai Indians’ pacemaker Jasprit Bumrah as he has 17 wickets to his name and an economy rate of 7.52.
