The Delhi Metro will resume operations on September 7, more than five months after it stopped its services due to the coronavirus pandemic. The metro, the mainstay of public transport in the national capital, will be restarted in three stages, with various precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers.
Some of the mandates will include wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, using hand sanitizers, undergoing a thermal exam, and downloading the Aarogya Setu mobile app. The token system will be suspended, trains will stop at stations for an additional 30 seconds, and trains will skip stations in containment zones.
The Delhi Metro will resume on September 7.

Only about 500 people will be allowed per 8-car train.
