Punjab to reopen universities and colleges from November 16: The Tribune India

On Thursday, the Punjab government decided to reopen universities and colleges, in the areas outside the containment zones, starting on November 16.

Revealing this, an official Punjab government spokesperson said that all institutions of higher education, medical education and research and technical education, including all universities and colleges, in the areas outside the containment zones in the state, could back open from November 16, 2020.

In addition, classes for the final year students of universities and colleges of the department of education and medical research would begin on November 9, 2020.

All these institutions must strictly adhere to standard operating procedures, which will be developed by their respective administrative departments in consultation with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, and the relevant ministry of the central government.

Previously, the Punjab government had allowed higher education institutions to open for research scholars (Ph.D.) and graduate students in science and technology streams that require laboratory / experimental work in areas outside of the containment zones after October 15. 2020 in Punjab.
