To support the farmers, several MLAs from the Punjab Congress went to Delhi to take part in the protest against the controversial agricultural laws in the national capital.

However, party sources officially said that the PPCC has not issued an opinion to the MLA.

The main party MLA Raja Warring, which is on its way to Delhi, said that “in a time of trial for farmers, it is the moral duty of political parties to support farmers.”

The MLA in Congress, led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, had organized a dharna in Jantar Mantar Delhi earlier this month.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted: “For almost two months, farmers have peacefully protested in Punjab without any problems. Why is the Haryana government provoking them by resorting to force? Don’t farmers have the right to pass peacefully on public roads? @mlkhattar ”.
