PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is seeking an Indian game company to partner with and reverse the ban it faced due to its ties to Tencent Games, a Chinese technology company. PUBG Mobile has a large number of players in India, and since the ban earlier this month, the South Korea-based Corporation has cut ties with Tencent Games and is looking for a way to start publishing all games for its account in India.

According to a report by LiveMint, negotiations are under way to transfer the rights to an Indian gambling company. According to his source, the new license agreement is already in process. This future partner will handle the distribution of the game, while PUBG Corporation will retain the publishing rights to the game, which was not the case before.

“Ownership is just one of the concerns. But there are several other problems, on the basis of which the ban was ordered. The concerns are related to the security of data privacy, activity within the phone, etc. ”A senior government official told Mint.

Since the ban on PUBG and 117 other apps, the government of India has sent over 70 inquiries to the FPS gaming giant. The company has to respond to this long list of inquiries within three weeks.

“PUBG Corporation fully understands and respects the measures taken by the government, as the privacy and security of player data is a priority for the company. He looks forward to working hand in hand with the Government of India to find a solution that will allow players to re-enter the battlefield and fully comply with the laws and regulations of India, ”the official PUBG blog post noted.

“The company is exploring ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, and is committed to doing so by maintaining a localized and healthy gaming environment for its fans.”
