Lucknow: Congress seeks to regain its foothold in the Hindu heartland of Uttar Pradesh in the 2022 Assembly elections, but the great party of Indian politics seems to run into trouble from time to time.
In the latest development, Pandit Vinod Mishra, a senior congressional leader from Uttar Pradesh and a convener of the Brahmin Mahasabha, resigned from the party on Friday citing the arrogance of the higher ups.
Mishra, former secretary general of the UP Congress, was also in charge of the Lucknow district during Raj Babbar’s tenure as head of the UP Congress.
In his statement, he blamed the secretary general of Congress, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, for his resignation and alleged that Gandhi give birth he was using the party to save himself from the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Directorate of Execution, thus insulting the veteran leaders and forcing them to leave.
“The UP Congress has already been handed over to the leftist leaders and now they are handling everything that is unfortunate for the centennial party that was a symbol of the country’s freedom movement,” Mishra said in his statement.
However, he denied that he would join any other political party and said that he will now devote all his time to strengthening the Brahmin Mahasabha.
