Actress Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram Stories to remember legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who passed away on Friday in Chennai. She mentioned that her songs were an important part of her growing up years.
Sharing a photo of her, she wrote: “RIP SP Balasubrahmanyam sir. Your songs are a big part of my childhood memories. Your voice will always be a pack and your legacy will live on forever. My deepest condolences to the family.”
The singer, who dominated millions of fans with his golden voice that represented a record of more than 40,000 songs over five decades, died Friday in a Chennai hospital, plunging music lovers into grief.
