NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind It was Saturday changed from the Intensive care unit (ICU) to a special room in the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after undergoing bypass surgery earlier this week.
In a tweet, Rashtrapati Bhawan said: “His health has continuously improved. Doctors are constantly monitoring his condition and have advised him to rest.”

The president had undergone bypass surgery in AIIMS Hospital March 30th.
On Thursday, the president had said that he was recovering well after his bypass surgery and thanked the doctors and caregivers.

President Kovind had undergone a medical check-up at the Army Hospital (R&R) in Delhi after chest discomfort last Friday. He was then transferred to AIIMS Delhi the next day.
