Hyderabad Now it is the Prime Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, who tells us that we have no choice but to learn to live with the coronavirus. Last week, when Covid-19 infections seemed to be out of control across the country, the Union health department changed its tune about the pandemic, stating that Indians will have to get used to the virus that always surrounds us.
And now, with the viral infection gaining momentum in Telangana, particularly Hyderabad, the Prime Minister of Telangana has adopted the same strategy, telling officials at a review meeting to start preparing people to accept this fact.
The Chandrashekar Rao review meeting was intended to take stock of the steps being taken to contain the virus and implement the blocking protocol. In his comments to the meeting, the prime minister said that no one knows how long the pandemic will last, so a strategy for living with it must be developed.
“Let’s make foolproof arrangements to contain the virus. Continue to extend the best service to Covid-19 patients and test those who may have been in contact with positive people. Implement all quarantine regulations to ensure that the virus is not transmitted from person to person, “he said.
In affirming that the state government was ready with all the equipment, medicines and facilities, the prime minister assured that “we will respond adequately from the medical point of view and there will be no doubt about it.”
“As we continue our fight against the coronavirus, we also have to be prepared in other ways.”
