A Goa court granted conditional bail to film producer Sam Bombay, who was arrested for allegedly abusing, threatening and assaulting his wife, actress Poonam Pandey, police said Wednesday. Judge Shanoor Audi bail Sam out on Tuesday night with bail of Rs 20,000, an official said.
Pandey had filed a police report late Monday night alleging that her husband had sexually abused her and threatened dire consequences after assaulting her, she said. The couple were in the town of Canacona in South Goa for a movie shoot. Sam has been asked to report to the Canacona Police Station for four days starting Wednesday and not interfere with witnesses either.
“Pandey filed a complaint late Monday night alleging that her husband Sam Bombay had sexually abused her and threatened dire consequences after assaulting her. He was arrested, ”said Inspector Tukaram Chavan of the Canacona police station, according to PTI. She was subjected to mandatory medical tests, he added.
When Spotboye contacted Pandey, she declined to comment. “I’m not in the right frame of mind. I will talk to you soon and answer all questions, ”he said.
