The Poco M3 is now official, becoming the third member of the company’s most affordable series.
It immediately catches the eye with its eye-catching design: a nearly uninterrupted display at the front contrasts with a large rectangular camera island at the rear. The rest of the rear comes in a textured anti-fingerprint finish and in three colors: Power Black, Cool Blue and the striking POCO Yellow.
The most important feature of the Poco M3 is its huge 6,000 mAh battery. It supports 18W charging and will even charge other devices at 18W with the correct cable.
Poco is proud of his battery, calling it the largest in the M3 class. Poco claims up to 5 days of light use, 3 days of moderate use and a day and a half of heavy use. Some will also appreciate the claim of 2 and a half years of use without noticeable degradation.
On the front is a 6.53-inch FHD + IPS LCD screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, located under Gorilla Glass 3. The screen has a waterdrop notch at the top for the 8MP selfie camera.
There’s a triple camera on the rear, highlighted by a 48MP main sensor with 0.8μm pixels (1.6μm in 12MP binned mode) and f / 1.79 lens. The other two sensors are a dedicated 2MP f / 2.4 macro and a 2MP f / 2.4 depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Poco M3 sports an 11nm Snapdragon 662 chipset with 4GB of RAM. Storage can be 64GB or 128GB.
There are stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an infrared blaster on the Poco M3.
The Poco M3 comes preloaded with Android 10 under MIUI 12 and the Poco launcher. Xiaomi will also update the M3 for Android 11 in due course.
The Poco M3 goes on sale on Black Friday, November 27. There are special discounted prices at the beginning: $ 129 for the 4 / 64GB version and $ 149 for the 4 / 128GB model, after the promotion ends, the prices will be $ 149 and $ 169, respectively.
