PMC Bank Scam Case: Sanjay Raut’s Wife Wants More Time to Appear Before ED | India News


NEW DELHI: The wife of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, Varsha Raut, on Tuesday sought more time to appear before the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with PMC Bank scam case.
Varsha Raut has sought time in the investigation agency Until January 5.
The ED had asked Varsha to appear before it today with the relevant documents related to his accounts at PMC Bank, which is in default. The agency has invoked provisions of the Money Laundering Prevention Act to subpoena Varsha Raut. ED is investigating a Rs 4.355 million scam involving PMC Bank and Wadhawans of Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) defaulting on loans.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has alleged that central agencies were being used to “destabilize” the government led by Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra and claimed BJP The leaders had been in contact with him for more than a year to carry out this plan.
Raut told reporters that the BJP leaders had a list of 22 MLAs from Congress and the NCP with them “who will be forced to resign under pressure from central investigative agencies.”
