MUMBAI: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday that his wife Varsha Raut had requested a period of 2-4 days to appear before the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) for questioning in PMC bank fraud case.
“It’s not a big deal. We have nothing to hide. Whoever has something to hide, runs away, tries to manage by putting pressure on the agency or joins BJP out of fear,” Raut said while speaking to the media.
“There have been several examples of leaders crossing into their parties in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. But we are in Shiv Sena and we will stay here until our last breath,” he added.
The Shiv Sena leader said: “I respect the law and the notice. We are legislators, although the law has been misused for political purposes.”
