Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with beneficiaries of the Aatmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme from PM Street Vendors of Madhya Pradesh and highlighted the use of earthenware jugs instead of single-use plastic bottles for drinking water.
He virtually interacted with street vendor Chaganlal and his wife from Sanver in Indore district, Archana Sharma from Gwalior, and vegetable vendor Dalchand in Raisen district.
PM Modi advised Chaganlal how to improve his business by asking customers to return the tubing used in making broomsticks to reduce the cost of making a broomstick.
Chaganlal also told Prime Minister Modi that he wanted to improve his business.
The prime minister advised him to use an earthenware jug instead of a single-use plastic bottle to drink water to save the environment.
PM Modi also asked him about Ujjwala Yojna and how it benefited his family.
When interacting with Gwalior’s Archana Sharma, Prime Minister Modi asked if he would serve her “tikki” (patties) that he sells at his joint. He also asked him about the SVANidhi scheme and how it benefited him.
He also asked her if she was aware of Ayushman Bharat’s plan, to which she said that her husband was receiving treatment solely through this plan.
PM Modi also interacted with her husband Rajendra Sharma.
Speaking with vegetable vendor Dalchand from Sanchi in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district, Prime Minister Modi praised him for using the digital QR code platform to receive payments.
He also suggested ways to improve her vegetable business.
