New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the most popular politician on social media in India, having appeared in the largest number of trends on social media platforms such as Google, Twitter, and YouTube between August and October. According to a report published by Checkbrand, “Prime Minister Modi has ruled the top trends (Twitter, Google Search, Wiki, YouTube, etc.) in the last quarter with 2,171 trends, followed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, with 2,137 trends “.
Other leaders who led significant trends include West Bengal’s chief minister Mamta Banerjee, congressional leader Rahul Gandhi and congressional president Sonia Gandhi, it added.
For the report, Checkbrand analyzed the online sentiment of the top 95 political leaders as well as 500 social media influencers between August and October this year.
The online analytics company also monitored 86,400 trends before reaching a conclusion.
The CEO of ADG Online and Checkbrand.online, Anuj Saya, said: “Although there is almost 25% negative sentiment towards PM Modi, its brand value is the highest among 95 elected leaders.”
The report also said that Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray received 40,000 mentions on social media in the past three months.
