The country will bring the ease of doing business, it will bring ease of life to the poorest of the poor by working on new innovations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the group of graduates from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi. He asked them to identify the needs of the country and work to build a self-sufficient India. He called the students the greatest ambassadors of the Indian brand. Innovation, he said, is the common ground between all IIT campuses. He has also delivered speeches at IIT in Bombay, Guwahati and Madras previously.
In his virtual speech to graduate students, the prime minister told the 2020 group that they are the lucky ones and have an advantage over the rest as they have seen a transition to the new normal. “You have an advantage, you have more time to learn and adapt to the new normal that is emerging in the workplace and beyond. So, make the most of it and think on the bright side too. You are also a lucky group, ”Modi said.

PM said that students will not only rejoice in the notes, but also in the memories. “You will look back at the whole night you spent in the library and the reading room during the exam and also at the nightly ‘paranthas’ in the mess … I was also told that IIT-Delhi students have two types of friends : friends from college and friends hostel video game. He will surely miss them both, ”he said.
He told the students to create a new mantra for their new workplace. “Focus on quality, never compromise, ensure scalability, make your innovation work on a massive scale, ensure reliability, build long-term confidence in the market, provide adaptability, be open to change, and accept uncertainty as a way. of life, ”he said. Modi further said that today’s students are the biggest ambassadors for the India brand.

A total of 2019 students received their degrees from IIT-Delhi today. The celebration of the Golden Jubilee was carried out in a hybrid way with a physical ceremony in person with limited attendance at the institute.
At the event, the Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, launched the ‘eVidya’ portal. It means Enabling virtual and interactive learning to promote the advancement of young people. The new portal aims to deliver the certification programs offered by IIT-Delhi in online mode. Courses ranging from different domains of engineering, technology, science, humanities, and management will be available through eVidya. The courses will be available to Indian and international participants.
