Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with SVANidhi beneficiaries from Uttar Pradesh via video conference on Tuesday and said that street vendors are now becoming “Atmanirbhar” with the help of this scheme.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the event via video conference.
“While interacting with the beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme, I realized that they were happy but surprised at the same time. Before, people used to visit banks several times to make use of loans. Poor people could not imagine going into it. bank, but nowadays people easily get a loan to start their work, “said Prime Minister Modi.
“While interacting with the beneficiaries, I noticed that Preeti (beneficiary), who has less education, is learning advanced technology with confidence and is working to take her business on a large scale. These people are the strength of our country who help to take the country ahead, “he added.
It is an important day for “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. The Center worked in the direction of helping the poor with the launch of “Garib Kalyan Yojana” worth Rs 1 lakh 70,000 crore, it added.
“An economic package of Rs 20 crore lakh was also introduced, prioritizing the welfare of the poor. Our street vendors are becoming Atmanirbhar and moving forward,” Prime Minister Modi said.
This scheme was launched on June 1 and began receiving applications through online portals, he added.
When interacting with a beneficiary, PM Modi said: “If you (the beneficiary) will start making digital payments, the government will also return the money to you in cash. Take advantage of the benefits of this initiative.”
Speaking to a supplier of momos, Prime Minister Modi said: “You can also release your interest in this scheme and the government can also give you more assistance than Rs 20,000.”
