NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra modi on Tuesday he said that ‘dynastic corruption‘has hollowed out the country like termites.
Speaking at an event, PM Modi He said: “The corruption passed from one generation to the next makes the country hollow like a termite.”
The Prime Minister said that we have to work together with a holistic approach against corruption, through systemic controls.
“Whether it be corruption, economic crime, drugs, money laundering, terrorism or terrorist financing, all of these are interconnected. Therefore, we must work together with a holistic anti-corruption approach, through systemic controls, effective audits and training and capacity building, “said PM.
He stressed that there should be no government pressure or government lack.
Praising DBT (Direct transfer of benefits), PM said the country has left the era of scams behind. “Through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), the poor get 100% of the benefits from government schemes, they get it directly into their bank accounts. Due to DBT, more than Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand crore are saved from go into the wrong hands, “he said.
The three-day conference, opened via video conference Tuesday, is being organized by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
