Xiaomi is known for its large number of products. The company is one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers, yet in China it also offers a myriad of other products for different segments. While some of these products hit world markets, there are others that are only available in China. Xiaomi’s latest product, a new Himo Z16 folding electric bike, is crowdfunding on the Youpin platform. It adopts a new form factor, although it has some similarities to the old Himo H1. It also features some cool features like the pedals, allowing you to use them if the battery runs out.

Interestingly, the entire bike weighs just 22.5 kg. The reason behind this is in the choice of very light materials like the aluminum alloy frame. It definitely helps with battery life. The Himo Z16 has a triple design. Therefore, users can fold the central body, pedals and handlebars. As this is a modern electric bike, you can check some parameters through LCD screen. It displays battery power, mileage, real-time speed, and other information. In addition, it has an IP07 waterproof rating.

Users can use the new bike in three assisted modes: fully electric power, assisted driving, and manual modeling. In the first mode, users have a mileage of 55 km on a full charge. In assisted mode this can be extended to 80 km away, and as you can imagine sometimes it helps via the pedals. The bike draws power from a removable automotive grade 18650 battery. This battery can be charged in just 5 hours.

The new bike is priced at $ 352 which is incredible for what it offers. Unfortunately, there is no information on international availability.
