Rakul Preet Singh was seen outside her residence when she arrived in Mumbai from Hyderabad prior to her questioning with the Office of Narcotics Control on Friday in connection with a drug case. Rakul was reportedly asked to join the investigation on Thursday, however the agency will question her tomorrow.
According to IANS, NCB sources said Rakul was summoned after her name appeared on WhatsApp chats accessed by the agency during the questioning of late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. The source said she will be questioned about how and from whom she bought the drugs and whether they were intended for personal use or for someone else.
Previously, Rakul had addressed the Delhi High Court against the media trial, after his name appeared in the drug case that emerged during the investigation into the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will join the investigation on Saturday.
