Patna:

Amidst the ongoing campaign in Bihar for the next State Assembly elections, Bihar BJP poll manager Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not only benefit his party but also its allies.

“You see a lot of enthusiasm among the people, wherever we go in Bihar and we take the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The country and its people have placed their trust in Prime Minister Modi. This trust will benefit not only us, but also to our allies, “said Mr. Fadnavis, who is a former chief minister of Maharashtra, told reporters.

The BJP and JDU had agreed to compete for 121-122 seats respectively in the 243-member assembly. The JDU, which has a share of 122 seats according to the understanding, has yielded seats to the Hindustani Awaam Morcha of Jitin Ram Manjhi of its quota.

Earlier this week, the BJP had formally incorporated the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and assigned it 11 seats as part of the distribution of seats among the allies for the Bihar elections.

Bihar’s assembly elections will take place in three phases: on October 28, November 3 and 7, and vote counting will take place on November 10.
