Pennsylvania judge dismisses Trump’s case for vote certification

Trump’s refusal to concede victory

Biden has won 306 votes in the Electoral College, surpassing the 270 votes needed to win the presidency, while Trump has won 232 votes in the Electoral College. Pennsylvania is scheduled to certify its election results on Monday, Nov. 23, and it has been projected to award its 20 Electoral College votes to Biden, IANS reported.

Trump has refused to give up the Biden victory. To challenge Biden to be sworn in as president on January 20, Trump has to prevail in at least three states. The campaign has launched a large number of litigation, challenging the results in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona. However, these efforts have so far not been fruitful, and most of them were withdrawn by the campaign itself or rejected by the courts for lack of evidence.

Al Jazeera reported that a statement from Marc Elias, a Democratic election attorney who was involved in the case, said that of the 34 cases filed, Trump only won two of them. The Pennsylvania verdict “is what looks like a complete kick to the president’s legal effort,” Elias wrote on Twitter.
