Bollywood actor Payal Ghosh, who has worked on projects such as Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi (film) and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (TV show), has claimed that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap beat her.
On Saturday, she tweeted, “@ anuragkashyap72 has imposed itself on me very badly. @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji please take action and let the country see the devil behind this creative guy. I am aware that it may harm me and my safety is at risk. Please help! “
Rekha Sharma, president of the National Commission for Women, quoted Ghosh on Twitter and asked for a detailed complaint on the matter. She wrote: “You can send the detailed complaint to me at [email protected] and @NCWIndia will investigate it.”
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been in a war of words with Kashyap on Twitter for a few days, also supported Ghosh, tweeting, “Every voice matters.”
