In 2010, IND’s Pawan Kumar Jaiswal won this seat by defeating JDU’s Faisal Rahman by a margin of 1,649 votes, which was 1.3% of the total votes polled in the constituency. IND had a vote share of 37.98% in 2010 in the seat.
