Mumbai Indians batsman Hardik Pandya and Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Chris Morris have been reprimanded by the match referee for violating the IPL code of conduct during Mumbai victory on five pitches at the stadium Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (October 28).

The incident appears to have occurred on the fifth ball of the 19 in the Mumbai chase when Morris gave Pandya a goodbye after taking him out, to which the batter responded rather angrily.

Both players admitted to the charges brought against them, Morris to a violation of Level 1 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct and Pandya to a violation of Level 1 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct.

The Mumbai Indians are currently at the top of the table with 16 points and on the brink of the standings with two games to go, while RCB is in second place with 14 points from 12 games.
