Owaisi Forms Separate Anti-BJP Front for Bihar Polls, Attacks RJD for Calling Secular Vote Spoiler | India News

PATNA: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi headed the All-India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Saturday, linked to former union minister Devendra Prasad Yadav’s party for fighting the upcoming Assembly elections of Bihar and attacked RJD for calling him a “spolier” of secular vows.

Addressing a press conference with Yadav here, Owaisi said they have laid the foundations for the UDSA (United Democratic Secular Alliance) which would assess how many seats candidates should present to the electoral race in the state.

Yadav addresses Samajwadi Janata Dal (D).

Strongly attacking the RJD for calling it the “vote katwa” (vote spoiler) of the secular forces, Owaisi asked what happened to these so-called “thekedars” (feudal lords) of the anti-BJP votes in the 2019 general elections in Bihar.

In response to a question that the opposition grand alliance coalition parties criticize him for trying to help the BJP by planning to run candidates in the October-November elections, Owaisi said they “are playing old tapes.”

AIMIM contested only Kisanganj’s seat in the 2019 general elections in Bihar and our candidate got 3 lakh of votes, while that of JD (U) got 3.25 lakh of votes and the winning candidate in Congress got 3.50 lakh .

“Can we be fired as a puny player after this and win a seat in the assembly by vote?” I ask.

“What happened in the 2019 parliamentary elections in Bihar … RJD, proclaiming itself champions of minorities and secular voters, won any seats?” he said.

The NDA had won 39 out of a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in the last general election, while the Congress managed to win one seat from Kisanganj.

When asked that the president of Bihar AIMIM recently met with the RJD leaders, supposedly for an electoral tie, but the party led by Lalu Prasad did not give him any weight, Owaisi said that “the meetings were not as you think” .

After earning a place in Bihar politics by winning an assembly seat in the Muslim-dominated Kisanganj constituency earlier this year, AIMIM is trying to increase its presence in the state by planning to contest some seats in the areas. from Seemanchal which have a considerable minority population.
