Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath virtually launched the BJP campaign for the November 3 general election on Sunday accusing the opposition of trying to provoke communal and caste unrest in the UP for political gain.
Adityanath, without apparently referring to the buildup of opposition against his government over the Hathras shock, said the opposition wanted to divert the state from the development agenda. “They (the opposition) keep plotting new conspiracies every day and are trying to provoke communal and caste riots in UP. We have to make sure we remain vigilant in order to ensure the development of the state, ”he said while addressing a virtual gathering of BJP cadres in the Naugawan Sadat assembly constituency in Amroha, which is among the seven assembly segments that will be held on November 3 by vote.

Naugawan Sadat’s seat was represented by BJP MLA and Minister Chetan Chauhan, who died due to complications induced by Covid-19. Adityanath would be carrying out virtual connection campaigns with the cadre in the rest of the assembly segments linked to the survey.
“Even in the midst of the pandemic, the state (government) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi did an exceptional job. However, some people, who care less about development, are hatching conspiracies on a daily basis. The need is to expose them, ”Adityanath said. He also told the cadres that due to Covid, the by-elections would be markedly different. “There will be no major political demonstrations and there will be a full focus on booth management and door-to-door campaigning by small groups,” said the CM.

He tasked the cadres to connect with the masses and make them aware of the changes the country has undergone since 2014, when the Narendra Modi government came to power in the center.
