NEW DELHI: A large number of coronavirus cases in the country point to “community spread,” Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Saturday, adding that only the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) or the Center you can comment on this.
“When such large numbers of people are infected in Delhi and other parts of the country, it should have been admitted that there is a community spread,” said the Delhi Health Minister.

A total of 2,147 COVID-19 cases were registered in the national capital on Friday while 61,037 tests were carried out for the virus.
“The positive rate was 6.76% yesterday. For the past few days, we have seen the positivity rate below 7%. The cumulative positivity rate, for the first time, has dropped below 10%. On Friday, 30 people had died. The overall mortality rate is 2.05 percent. Additionally, 500 ICU beds have been added in Delhi, “he said.
He added that the doubling rate in Delhi has reached 40 days.
