  • T-Mobile inadvertently published specifications for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro before launch.
  • Unsurprisingly, the screen and cameras make the difference – performance should be the same.
  • You will get all the details on March 23rd.

You don’t have to wait until March 23 to get the official details for the OnePlus 9 series – T-Mobile has spoiled some of the show in advance. The well-known leaker Evan Blass has discovered that the carrier posted (and quickly removed) support pages outlining the key specs for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro ahead of their formal debut.

T-Mobile’s slide suggests once again that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will differ greatly based on camera and display technology. Both US configurations will reportedly use Snapdragon 888 chips, carry 8GB to 12GB of RAM, and come with 128GB to 256GB of storage. They will also have 4,500 mAh batteries. If you’re just looking for a fast Android phone, either model should get the job done, though you won’t get perks like dual SIM slots.

There will be reasons to choose the OnePlus 9 Pro over the standard version, according to T-Mobile. The Pro phone will focus on a 6.7-inch 1440p screen rather than the 1080p panel of the basic OnePlus 9. The 9 Pro will have a more sophisticated camera setup than its normal counterpart with 50MP, 48MP, 8MP and 2MP rear sensors where the regular phone will ditch the 8MP camera.

T-Mobile didn’t reveal everything about the OnePlus 9 line, of course. You can expect OnePlus to share a lot more about Hasselblad’s flagship camera system, software, and pricing at its launch event. This also does not cover the 9R and other possible international variants. However, this could help you choose a model to buy (if any) before the pre-orders start.
