OnePlus 8T’s alleged price leak suggests a starting price of € 599

More supposed specs and a supposed starting price of the upcoming OnePlus 8T have now been shared online, and the 8T series smartphone only comes with some notable hardware upgrades in what appears to be an “affordable” package.

As we await the official launch event on October 14, there has been a lot of speculation about what OnePlus will bring to the table and what it might cost. Since there won’t be a “Pro” version of the OnePlus 8T, unless OnePlus decides to give the mid-range device in its line a major overhaul, the price would be quite attractive.

According to leakster Ishan Agarwal, the OnePlus 8T will start at € 599 for an 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage configuration. He also shared details of an Amazon listing potentially confirming all the upcoming specs of the long-awaited device.

More details have been posted on the PriceBaba Indian store where more information sheds light on the latest OnePlus T-series smartphone. According to this report, the OnePlus 8T will come with a 6.5-inch 120Hz FHD + display (with a perforated notch in the upper left), the Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

It is interesting to see that this report suggests that the OnePlus 8T will not come with the Snapdragon 865+ as originally anticipated. We’re not sure if this is simply an error in this supposed Amazon listing, but it’s interesting to note that it doesn’t corroborate an earlier report. However, this could be one of the reasons why the OnePlus 8T’s proposed price is lower than anticipated.

At the rear, the camera will consist of a 48-megapixel sensor with OIS, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The selfie camera will be in the 16 megapixel format.

The battery will measure at 4,500 mAh, with a 65 W wired charge arriving for the first time in a OnePlus series device. However, no word was given on wireless charging capabilities here.

Now the interesting prospect is certainly the price of the OnePlus 8T. The leaked list suggests we will see a cheaper starting price than what we saw with the OnePlus 8 from early 2020. Argawal suggests that the 8 / 128GB will start at an incredibly attractive price of € 599, while the 12 / 256GB costs just €. 699.

It remains to be seen how this will translate into prices globally, but what do you think given this information? Are you excited for the OnePlus 8T or is it an instant jump? Let us know in the comment section below.
