Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) poll manifesto for Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections on Thursday. The Finance Minister added that Bihar is a state where all citizens are politically sensitive, well informed and understand the promises a party makes. “If someone raises questions about our manifesto, we can answer them with confidence while we deliver on what we promised,” he said.
The BJP, which is fighting in the assembly elections in alliance with Prime Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata dal (United) (JDU), has also promised in its manifesto 19 lakh of jobs in the state in the coming year, opposite at the promised 10 lakh. by Mahagathbandhan’s top ministerial candidate and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, Tejashwi Yadav.
Sitharaman also noted Bihar’s rising GDP under Nitish Kumar’s leadership and praised its “good governance”. “GDP in Bihar has experienced a strong increase under the NDA rule, it has grown from 3% to 11.3% in the state in the last 15 years of the NDA government and not during the 15 years of the Raj jungle . It was possible because our government prioritized good governance for the people, ”he said.
Sithraman urged the people to vote for the NDA so that the state becomes progressive. She said: “Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Minister of Bihar for the next 5 years. Under his rule, Bihar will become a progressive and developed state of India. “
Bihar’s 243-seat assembly will go to the polls in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November, while the result of the first election exercise amid the pandemic will be declared on November 10.
