Hyderabad:
Streets submerged in floodwater, vehicles washed away by strong currents were some of the terrifying scenes witnessed in Hyderabad as heavy night rains devastated parts of the city and adjacent areas.
In a minute-long clip, a rickshaw and car were seen being dragged away as locals tried to prevent the vehicles from being swept away.

The rains came shortly after a downpour that devastated parts of the city earlier this week, killing at least 50 people and causing billions of rupees in damage.
Some areas received more than 150mm during the day, leading to traffic jams and waterlogging.
The staff of the Disaster Response Force (DRF) of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) worked continuously in the field cleaning the water ponds and floods and all possible measures were being initiated in view of the rains, Vishwajit Kampati, GHMC’s Director of Disaster Surveillance and Management, said in a tweet.
Telangana state is the worst affected area, but the floods have also affected neighboring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao said on Saturday that families affected by the floods will be identified and ration kits will be delivered to their doorstep.
