‘Oh bhai maaro mujhe’: fans troll official broadcaster SuperSport after comparing Rassie van der Dussen to Sachin Tendulkar

South Africa is currently participating in a two-game test series against Sri Lanka at home. The Proteas took an impregnable lead in the series after beating the visitors by one inning and 45 runs in the series opener at Centurion. The hosts are ready to cleanly sweep the two-game series as they have also put themselves in the driver’s seat in the second test underway.

In the stumps on the first day, South Africa was at 148 for 1 with Dean elgar and Rassie van der Dussen leading the charge with the bat. Elgar was undefeated at 92, while van der Dussen kept him company at 40. His association is already worth 114 runs. Broadcasters compared Rassie van de Dussen to Sachin Tendulkar highlighting the Proteas star’s record with the legendary hitter’s record after 6 Tests.

While Tendulkar is the most decorated hitter in the game’s history, van der Dussen is just getting started, especially in Tests. So far, he has played just five Trials and has scored 289 runs with the help of three fifties. Tendulkar, on the other hand, has scored nearly 16,000 runs in 200 events with the help of 51 centuries and 68 fifties. Unsurprisingly, fans weren’t impressed at all by the comparison, and they didn’t waste much time trolling the broadcaster.
