OFFICIAL: Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon confirmed as new Tottenham Hotspur players

The news that the football world has been waiting for a couple of days is now official. Gareth Bale will join Tottenham Hotspur on a one-season loan. Real Madrid and Tottenham are expected to split the Welshman’s lucrative salaries. Tottenham will also have the opportunity to extend the loan for another year at the end of the current season.

And the other play between both clubs saw Sergio Reguilon seal a transfer for about 30 million euros. It is a permanent transfer, but Real Madrid will maintain a 45 million euro buyback clause on Reguilon for two years, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Gareth Bale joined the club in 2013, leaving a trophy-laden legacy. He was instrumental in all four UEFA Champions League finals and scored historic goals for the club. The last few years have been grueling for Gareth, the club, the fans and the media, but a move to Tottenham could boost his career.

In two years, Marcelo’s contract expires, more will be known about the true level of Miguel Gutiérrez and Reguilón will have two seasons of prime minister under his belt. A return to your childhood club may not be out of the question if all the factors align. We will watch your development with great anticipation.

Best of luck to the new Tottenham recruits!
