A man was arrested on Friday in the Bargarh district of Odisha on charges of manufacturing a questionable vaccine for Covid-19. Authorities raided his facilities and confiscated several vials labeled ‘Covid-19 Vaccine’ from his possession. The raid was carried out after the man himself sent an email to authorities asking for a license to sell his product.
Police and drug control officers in Bargarh’s western Odisha district arrested Prahallad Bisi, 32, after a raid on his facility in the village of Rusuda. When asked by drug inspectors to reveal the composition of her alleged vaccine, she refused, calling it “top secret.”
“We found out about his claim when he sent an email requesting a license to sell the product he calls a vaccine. During the raid, we found several glass vials with Covid-19 vaccine stickers, some powders and chemical materials, ”said Sasmita Dehury, Bargarh drug inspector.
