KOLKATA: Actor and deputy of the Trinamool Congress Nusrat jahan on monday he hit radical elements against inter-religious marriages saying that “love” and “jihad” do not go hand in hand and asked not to make religion a political tool in India.
Speaking at a press conference at Trinamool Bhavan on Monday afternoon, the deputy from Basirhat He said, “Love is very personal. Love and jihad do not go hand in hand. Right before the elections, people come up with certain topics like this. ”

Last Saturday Jahan also inaugurated a Jagadhatri Puja Pandal in the city and prayed before the deity following Hindu rituals. “It is a personal decision of how we want to live, who we love and who we would marry, what we would eat and what we would wear. No one can dictate. Have you forgotten that we live in a democracy? ” she said.
