NTA NEET exam tomorrow; Check the dress code, schedule, prohibited items


NEW DELHI: In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency has implemented a comprehensive plan to conduct the NEET UG exam smoothly. More than 15 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET exam, which will be held on Sunday, September 13.

With the threat of a pandemic in mind, NTA has reduced the number of candidates per room from the previous 24 to the current 12. NTA has published a notice on Covid 19 to ensure social distancing outside the exam room, entry and exit of candidates has been staggered. Necessary arrangements have also been made outside the test centers for candidates to stand with adequate social distancing while waiting.

Changes to the admission card


The following changes have been made to the admission card:

  • Specific instructions to maintain social distancing and other instructions related to COVID-19
  • Staggered Time Interval for Candidates Reporting to Exam Centers – Will print as “Interval (hour)”, such as 11.00 am. M. At 11.30 a. M.
  • List of items allowed in exam rooms
  • A hyperlink to the center location so the Candidate can verify the center location in advance by clicking on the link (when the candidate clicks on the Center details).
  • In case a PwD candidate uses a scribe, both the candidate and the scribe must use the masks
  • Entry of candidates according to the time slot indicated on the admission card

To avoid crowds at the entrance of the test center due to candidates approaching together, they will be given staggered time slots to report. The staggering of the time slots will be carried out to guarantee the uniform distribution of the candidates in the rooms during the entrance to the examination centers.

Prior communication about this staggered entry process will be shared with the candidates by means of an admission card and by SMS.

Dress code


Candidates must follow the following dress code while presenting for NEET (UG) 2020:

  • Light clothing with long sleeves is not allowed. However, in case candidates are coming in cultural / customary attire at the Exam Center, they must report at least one hour prior to the last presentation time, i.e. 12.30pm. M., So that there is sufficient time for proper registration without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining sanctity. of the exam.
  • Slippers, sandals with low heels are allowed. Shoes are not allowed.

Items allowed in the exam room / hallway for candidates


Candidates will be allowed to bring only these items with them into the exam room / hallway:

  • Mask on the face
  • Gloves in hand 10.2.2
  • Personal Clear Water Bottle
  • Small personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
  • Browse related documents according to instructions
  • NEET UG admission card
  • Valid government identification card, etc.

Candidates should note that no other items will be allowed inside the exam room / hall. The admission card will clearly indicate which candidates can and cannot bring.

Candidate searching

  • No body searches will be conducted
  • Long-handled sustained metal detector search will be mandatory for all candidates.
  • Search staff will ensure that while searching the metal detector they do not come into physical contact with any candidate.
  • The presence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals will be checked within exam rooms and exam centers.
  • During the examination, all installed jammers / CCTV (if applicable) will work per NTA guidelines

Prohibited items


Candidates may not bring the following items into the test center under any circumstances.

  • Any stationery such as textual material (printed or written), scraps of paper, geometry / pencil case, plastic case, calculator, pen, scale, notepad, flash drives, eraser, calculator, recording table, pen / scanner electronic, etc.
  • Any communication device such as mobile phone, Bluetooth, headphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc.
  • Other items such as wallet, glasses, bags, belt, cap, etc.
  • Any watch / wristwatch, bracelet, camera, etc.
  • Any metallic ornaments / items.
  • Any open or packaged food, water bottles, etc.
  • Any other element that can be used for unfair purposes, hiding communication devices such as microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
